Leahi Park Wedding

If You Want an Oceanside Park Wedding, Leahi Park is ideal.

Grab your passports cause this real love story is taking you all the way from Gold Coast of Australia to the breathtaking Hawaiian Islands.  We’re taking you to a Leahi Park Wedding, an oceanfront wedding venue on Oahu, Hawaii.

As you can imagine planning a wedding in Hawaii from Australia poses several challenges. One of the first being understanding the average cost of a wedding in Hawaii and next how to choose the perfect Oahu wedding venue for the “I Do’s”.  Of course, using the internet to search through the thousands of Hawaii wedding packages is easy. But the reality is there’s more to it. Scrolling through endless options of wedding planners in Hawaii can be overwhelming.

Hawaii Destination Wedding, Planning It From Abroad

There was a lot of researching to decide between a beach wedding or an oceanside park setting.  Ananta & Katrina finally decided they needed help. There are thousands of destination wedding packages to choose from. It became hard to know exactly which one was perfect for them. Fortunately, Islander Weddings came to the rescue!  Being experts on Oahu wedding venues, Islander Weddings made everything easy.  Ananta & Katrina ultimately decided on choosing from several Hawaii wedding packages.  They found a wedding venue that matched their dream.

Ananta and Katrina decided on a picturesque setting for their ceremony, Leahi Park. Leahi is located only five minutes east of Waikiki, at the foot of the scenic and iconic Diamond Head Mountain. Part of the lure and charm of Diamond Head Mountain is not only the beautiful panoramic view of Honolulu but it’s rich history.

Story has it that the 760-foot crater (Diamond Head) got its name from the British sailors who thought they had discovered diamonds on the crater’s slopes. Imagine a volcano erupting with diamonds, seems too good to be true right? Well it was! To the sailors dismay the “diamonds” they thought they found were actually shiny calcite crystals and had no value. But this history helped to create the iconic mystery and is one of the reasons that makes Leahi Park and Diamond Head Mountain the perfect setting to say “I Do”!  (Source of History: GoHawaii.com)

The Perfect Wedding Day In Hawaii

After months of planning their wedding from Australia, the day finally arrived. It was a beautiful afternoon, vibrant blue skies and stunning scenery.  Friends and family  traveled from a far to witness their joining. What could be better? Katrina looked gorgeous in a beautiful lace, fit & flare gown. With both her Mom and Dad escorting her she walked down the aisle to her beloved, Ananta.

The couple requested a Hawaiian minister, who was present to not only officiate the ceremony, but to sing and play ukulele. An amazing and personal tribute to the culture of Hawaii and the love that they have for each other. After the ceremony the couple enjoyed a photo session at the park with guests.  And then traveled to a different beach park for more photos and a champagne toast with the bridesmaid and groomsmen to celebrate their union. Once the bubbly was gone it was time to party! Ananta and Katrina chose a wonderful limousine service Honolulu to drive them to Tiki’s Grill for their reception party.

Islander Weddings made planning a Hawaii destination wedding from Australia easy. With a Hawaii wedding package that encompassed  everything necessary, the couple’s perfect Hawaii wedding was a success!

In all, the wedding of Ananta and Katrina was a celebration of all things that are beautiful. From the breathtaking scenery to the love the couple shares with each other as well as family and friends. A truly perfect Hawaiian wedding day! Ready to plan your dream Hawaii destination wedding? Makapu’u Beach Wedding

A Makapu’u Beach Wedding to Remember

After first dating many years ago, Garfield and Leavonies were reunited only to fall in love all over again. As their newly found love developed, they just knew they wanted to get married.  A Hawaii destination wedding would be the perfect place and plan to share their nuptials among close family and friends. So, they began searching for the perfect Honolulu wedding packages and Oahu wedding venues.   They also knew they’d want the best Oahu wedding photographers. As their plans unfolded for a Hawaii destination wedding, the couple decided their Hawaii wedding venue would need to be in a remote and secluded location. That’s when they learned about Makapu’u—a scenic ridge that rises nearly 650 feet over the sea and features a beach surrounded by lava rock tide pools.   What makes it even more special is a glorious lighthouse on the cliff at Makapu’u Point.

So Many Hawaii Wedding Packages To Choose

Garfield and Leavonies sorted through so many Hawaii wedding packages.  Their destination wedding location was a clear choice, Makapu’u Beach Wedding. Then, all the details began to fall into place. They were able to book a Hawaii wedding package.  Something all inclusive that could help save on costs and also find recommendations for an Oahu wedding videographer and a Limousine service Honolulu. While the average cost of a wedding in Hawaii can add up, this happy couple was not about to sacrifice any details.  The couple opted for a fabulous, once-in-a-lifetime event at this Oahu wedding venue. They discovered that a Hawaii destination wedding package is the way to truly enjoy the finest island paradise on earth.  On top of that it was all within their budget. This Makapu’u wedding would be one to remember by Garfield and Leavonies, by their dear family members, and by their closest friends.

A Secluded Beach Wedding at Makapu’u

When their Hawaii destination wedding took place at Makapu’u, it was simply awe-inspiring. The wedding was a mid-afternoon event that took place on a breathtaking sandy dune at Makapu’u near Sea Life Park. The beautiful bride was escorted by her daughter.  She chose a  stunning bouquet of native fuchsia flowers. With tiki torches and blue ocean waves in the background, they stood in a symbolic rose petal circle to exchange their vows. The close of their ceremony in paradise included a photo session on the beach and at nearby Heaven’s Point. It was simply the most perfect day for all to behold, and Islander Weddings was proud to have guided Garfield and Leavonies in this magical celebration of love.

All Inclusive Wedding in Hawaii

Why an all inclusive wedding in Hawaii?

Because it’s affordable!

It is said, “never start off your marriage in debt”.  Yet on average couples will spend up to $20,000. to $30,000. for a traditional wedding and start their new life strapped with paying off their big day.  A great idea is to consider an all inclusive wedding in Hawaii.  It’s much less expensive and thus less of a financial strain when just starting out. Also, you’re already in Hawaii for your honeymoon, how nice is that!

Whether it’s your first time to Hawaii or if you are returning, you’re in for a unique, special, and memorable experience.   Orchid flower leis, lush tropical landscapes, majestic mountains, and white sand beaches. Hawaii has it all. You’ll be surrounded with beautiful scenery and charming culture. “Aloha” is an often said warm expression everywhere you go.

If a small group of friends and family are traveling with you, the convenience of limousine service sure takes the hassle out of having to drive.  Plus it’s way more fun!  Whether you need an 8 or 14 passenger limousine traveling in style to your beach wedding is worth it.

Door to Door Limo Service

To plan for your trip to Hawaii is one thing.  Then, planning for your wedding is another.  You will want to take full advantage of the nice weather on your wedding day.  Because of the different opportunities for a location choosing a beautiful beach or lush tropical parkare two considerations.  Check out the best destination wedding locations.

Dress comfortably

The climate in Hawaii is warm and tropical. Dressing comfortable for your beach wedding is important to make your special day that much more enjoyable. Dresses with a train or lace trim can make getting around the beach difficult.  For instance, at Waimanalo Bay Beach there are many ironwood trees with pine needles just off the beach.  Therefore, a lengthy wedding dress will pick up unwanted pine needles and other debris.  So, a dress that is made of light fabric that is shorter is recommended.

In Hawaii we are blessed with sunshine and light wind most of the time.  Yet, there are times when the weather doesn’t always cooperate.  Typically when it rains it Hawaii it is only for a short time and often times if we just wait the weather will clear up.In case of light rain, we typically wait till it stop as it’s just a passing shower.  Because we are committed to providing the best service, we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

If you are looking for the ideal all inclusive wedding location, look no further.  You’ve found what you are looking for in booking your wedding in Hawaii.

Sandy Beach Photo Session

A Beach Wedding in Honolulu

Planning for a Sandy Beach Wedding in Honolulu on Oahu, is an excellent choice.  Located just 30 minutes from Waikiki Sandy Beach sits at the base of Koko Head Crater. It has beautiful golden sand and a colorful blue ocean for a backdrop. It also has  lava rock tide pools too. The natural setting at Sandy Beach make it perfect for beach wedding photos.

Like it’s nearby neighbor Makapu’u, Sandy Beach is a favorite beach for body surfing.  During the summer months the shore break waves are quite powerful and dangerous.  Only those with local knowledge venture out. Off in the distance the Blowhole at Halona Cove is quite spectacular to watch the big surf crashing into the black lava cliffs.  The blowhole can erupt shooting water up super high like a geyser! It is most spectacular when it’s high tide and windy. You’ll hear a hum noise  just before the blowhole erupts.  As a side note, Halona Cove Beach or Eternity Beach as it is also known was the setting of the famous scene where Burt Lancaster kisses Deborah Kerr in 1953’s “From Here To Eternity. The famous kiss considered very risque at that time in American film.

Most people come to Sandy Beach just to watch the waves, take photos, fly a kite, or just enjoy the day with friends and family. There is not much shade at Sandy Beach Park. That’s one reason why we prefer late afternoons close to sunset when the sun is not as hot and bright.   For an ideal beach wedding location on Oahu, Sandy Beach is a great choice.  You’ll want the best wedding planner in Honolulu to plan your premier Oahu Beach Wedding. So start organizing the wedding of your dreams in Hawaii!
