Leahi Park Wedding, An Oceanfront Venue

If You Want A Fairytale Hawaiian Oceanside Park Wedding, Leahi Park is ideal.

Grab your passports, and sunglasses cause this real love story is taking you all the way from Gold Coast of Australia to the breathtaking Hawaiian Islands.  We’re taking you to a Leahi Park Wedding, an oceanfront wedding venue on Oahu, Hawaii.

As you can imagine planning a wedding in Hawaii from Australia poses several challenges. One of the first being understanding the average cost of a wedding in Hawaii and next how to choose the perfect Hawaii wedding venue for the “I Do’s” and reception. Of course, using the internet to search through the thousands of Hawaii wedding packages, destinations, flowers and planners is easy. But the reality is, sitting in the comfort of your own home scrolling through endless options of wedding vendors is mind-blowing and easily overwhelming.

Real Hawaii Destination Wedding, How To Plan It From Abroad

After a lot of searching and trying to decide between an Oahu wedding, a beach wedding or an oceanside park setting.  Ananta & Katrina finally decided they needed help. With thousands of destination wedding packages Hawaii, and venues it became hard to know exactly which one was perfect for them as a couple. Luckily, Islander Weddings came to the rescue!  Being experts on Oahu wedding venues and vendors, Islander Weddings made everything easy.  Ananta & Katrina ultimately decided on choosing from several Hawaii wedding packages and found a Hawaii wedding venue that matched their spirit.

Ananta and Katrina decided on a picturesque setting for their ceremony, Leahi Park. Leahi which locals translate to “Brow of the Tuna”, is located only five minutes east of Waikiki, at the foot of the scenic and iconic Diamond Head Mountain. Part of the lure and charm of Diamond Head Mountain is not only the beautiful panoramic view of Honolulu but it’s rich history.

Story has it that the 760-foot crater (Diamond Head) got its name from the British sailors who thought they had discovered diamonds on the crater’s slopes. Imagine a volcano erupting with diamonds, seems too good to be true right? Well it was! To the sailors dismay the “diamonds” they thought they found were actually shiny calcite crystals and had no value. But this history helped to create the iconic mystery and is one of the reasons that makes Leahi Park and Diamond Head Mountain the perfect setting to say “I Do”!  (Source of History: GoHawaii.com)

The Perfect Wedding Day In Hawaii

After months of planning their Hawaii destination wedding from Australia, the day finally arrived. It was a beautiful afternoon, vibrant blue skies, stunning scenery and friends and family that traveled from a far to witness their joining. What could be better? Katrina looked gorgeous in a beautiful lace, fit & flare gown. With both her Mom and Dad escorting her she walked down the aisle to her beloved, Ananta.

The couple requested a Hawaiian minister, who was present to not only officiate the ceremony, but to sing and play ukulele. An amazing and personal tribute to the culture of Hawaii and the love that they have for each other. After the ceremony the couple enjoyed a photo session at the park with guests.  And then traveled to a different beach park for more photos and a champagne toast with the bridesmaid and groomsmen to celebrate their union. Once the bubbly was gone it was time to party! Ananta and Katrina chose a wonderful limousine service Honolulu to drive them to Tiki’s Grill for their reception party.

Islander Weddings made planning a Hawaii destination wedding from Australia easy. By cultivating Hawaii wedding packages all-inclusive that encompassed everything that is important to the couple the perfect Hawaii wedding day came to life!

In all, the wedding of Ananta and Katrina was a celebration of all things that are beautiful. From the breathtaking scenery to the love the couple shares with each other as well as family and friends. A truly perfect Hawaiian wedding day! Ready to plan your dream Hawaii destination wedding? Makapu’u Beach Wedding

A Makapu’u Beach Wedding to Remember

After first dating many years ago, Garfield and Leavonies were reunited only to fall in love all over again. As their newly found love developed, they just knew they wanted to get married.  A Hawaii destination wedding would be the perfect place and plan to share their nuptials among close family and friends. So, they began searching for the perfect Honolulu wedding packages and Oahu wedding venues.   They also knew they’d want the best Oahu wedding photographers. As their plans unfolded for a Hawaii destination wedding, the couple decided their Hawaii wedding venue would need to be in a remote and secluded location. That’s when they learned about Makapu’u—a scenic ridge that rises nearly 650 feet over the sea and features a beach surrounded by lava rock tide pools.   What makes it even more special is a glorious lighthouse on the cliff at Makapu’u Point.

So Many Hawaii Wedding Packages To Choose

Garfield and Leavonies sorted through so many Hawaii wedding packages.  Their destination wedding location was a clear choice, Makapu’u Beach Wedding. Then, all the details began to fall into place. They were able to book a Hawaii wedding package.  Something all inclusive that could help save on costs and also find recommendations for an Oahu wedding videographer and a Limousine service Honolulu. While the average cost of a wedding in Hawaii can add up, this happy couple was not about to sacrifice any details.  The couple opted for a fabulous, once-in-a-lifetime event at this Oahu wedding venue. They discovered that a Hawaii destination wedding package is the way to truly enjoy the finest island paradise on earth.  On top of that it was all within their budget. This Makapu’u wedding would be one to remember by Garfield and Leavonies, by their dear family members, and by their closest friends.

A Secluded Beach Wedding at Makapu’u

When their Hawaii destination wedding took place at Makapu’u, it was simply awe-inspiring. The wedding was a mid-afternoon event that took place on a breathtaking sandy dune at Makapu’u near Sea Life Park. The beautiful bride was escorted by her daughter.  She chose a  stunning bouquet of native fuchsia flowers. With tiki torches and blue ocean waves in the background, they stood in a symbolic rose petal circle to exchange their vows. The close of their ceremony in paradise included a photo session on the beach and at nearby Heaven’s Point. It was simply the most perfect day for all to behold, and Islander Weddings was proud to have guided Garfield and Leavonies in this magical celebration of love.

5 Best Islands in Hawaii to Get Married

5 best islands in Hawaii to marry

Exchanging rings Oahu

So, just what are the 5 best islands in Hawaii to get married? With so many options, it will leave you wondering which one to choose.  It’s not surprising that 25% of weddings in the United States are destination weddings with few guests. One of the primary reasons for this is that they are cheaper and easier to plan than a conventional or traditional wedding.  At the top of the list for a destination wedding are the Hawaiian Islands.  All it takes to make it a reality is finding the right wedding planner and booking just the right Hawaii wedding package that suits your desire.

As you plan to tie the nuptial knot, one crucial thing you should consider is your choice of Hawaii wedding venue and which Hawaii island should it be? Just read along.

Get Married on Oahu

One of the 5 best Islands

Oahu

The island of Oahu tops the list of the 5 best islands in Hawaii to get married.  Here you’ll find the home to the world famous destination resort of  Waikiki.  Here you’ll find beautiful beaches and gentle rolling waves among the many high rise buildings and fashion designer stores along Kalakaua Avenue.  Oahu means “Gathering Place”. You can call it the most urbanized Island of Hawaii with many restaurants, spas, hotels and all the fuss of New York.  There is no shortage of fun activities on Oahu.

Have you ever wondered why couples always dream about Honolulu beach weddings? Well, it’s because Oahu boasts of 125 beaches.  Honolulu is also the business hub for the State of Hawaii.  Downtown you’ll find important cultural sites like Iolani Palace where Hawaiian royalty lived.  Bishop Museum  is filled with art and cultural exhibits.  So if you’re planning to have a tropical Hawaii beach wedding and love shopping too, then you should probably consider Waikiki and one of its numerous Oahu beach wedding venues.

 Hawaii Island

Big Island of Hawaii, Bigger is best!

The Big Island of Hawaii

Hawaii Island is the biggest island in the state of Hawaii. It’s often referred to as the Big Island. You certainly should plan your Hawaii wedding package falls into this island if you’re thrilled by climatic wonders.  Having lived here before  for 6 years we recommend anywhere in the Kona or Kohala Districts for your stay.  The area is rich with Hawaiian history as well as home to the world reknown Kona Coffee.   There is also the quaint Kailua village in the heart of Kona with numerous restaurants and shops.  Here you can easily find a cafe serving some that good Kona Coffee.

The Big Island hosts 8 of earth’s 13 climatic zones.  The Big Island is perfect for a wedding destination for lovers that are fascinated about volcanos, mountains, weather dynamism, and mind-recalibrating air. If this defines you, then contact your Hawaii wedding planner to find you the best beach venue on Hawaii.

Get Married on Lanai

Before you book your tickets for an elopement in Hawaii, we suggest you take a long look at Lanai island.  Hawaii’s most secluded inhabited islands, Lanai is quite laid back with friendly and helpful locals. There are no traffic lights, three paved roads of 30 miles, and only a few hotels.  Nonetheless, it’s quite romantic. So, as long as you have a resourceful Hawaii wedding planner, your lanai wedding will be most memorable.

Lanai was once known as the “Pineapple Isle,  providing 75% of the worlds pineapples. But now it has now become the perfect getaway  for many looking to relax and re-energize.  When you go, be sure to check out one of Lanai’s favorite beaches at Hulopoe Beach by Four Seasons Resort.  The best scuba diving and snorkeling in all of Hawaii is found in this area.  For real, it’s a romantic and quiet destination wedding location for anyone who wants to get away from industrialization and its hurdles.  Plus, there are only about 3000 people living here.  You’ll make friends with everyone in no time!

Kauai, the Garden Isle

The Best Coastline

Kauai

Nowhere in the world is there an island as green, quiet, and peaceful as Kauai.  Popularly known as the ‘Garden Island’.  Kauai is surrounded by nature  97% of its landmass is covered with undeveloped mountains and rainforests.

Yea, you guessed right. It rains a lot in Kauai. But lots of folks love it. It’s so serene and beautiful with waterfalls, lovely birds,  just teaming with lush natural beauty.  If you make it to Kauai plan a hike along Kalalau Trail or a boat ride along Na Pali Coast.  The coastline is simply breathtaking.  Kauai is an excellent destination for Hawaii elopement weddings, especially if you love everything green.  It provides the perfect balance between activity and relaxation.  Here you’ll find very little development in comparison to Oahu.

Maui, Some say it’s the best

Maui is one of the most popular islands for Hawaii destination weddings. Well, it’s not as popular as Oahu and Hawaii. However, but it’s got a plethora of beautiful beaches  that make it the choice of many couples.

We believe that’s one of the reasons why Fox chose it as a location for filming the romantic series, Temptation Island. Don’t scream if we tell you that it has 80 cool beaches. That’s more than enough options for finding an intimate beach wedding location.

Locals call it “No Ka Oi”, “the best” Island in Hawaii, and we couldn’t agree more. Its beauty comes with lots of attention that makes it the destination of many Hawaii wedding packages.

Well, that’s our list of the 5 best Hawaii islands to marry.  But if you are still not sure then you’ll just have to spend your honeymoon island hopping!  Flights between the islands are less than 45 minutes.  You’ll cover a lot of ground and eventually come to your own conclusion of which Hawaii Island is your best.

Hawaii Wedding Packages: Keys to choose the right one

Hawaii Wedding Packages

Choosing the ideal one:

Finding the ideal Hawaiian Wedding Package has never been easier. Over the past decade, the romantic islands of Hawaii, Oahu, and other Hawaiian Islands have played host to 33% of all weddings in the United States.  Amazingly, more intending couples are planning towards making their Hawaii wedding dream a reality. But it can be pretty tough if they don’t have a great Hawaii wedding package in place beforehand.

Most couples want to sort out the entire process themselves. This decision may look great, but it often ends in avoidable stress. If you are in agreement, life should be simple, enjoyable, fun and stress-free.

That’s why you should choose the best Hawaii wedding package to save you all the worry and stress. If you don’t know how to go about it, don’t lose a sweat, these simple steps will guide you.

 1. Research the Islands

Hawaii, as a state in the United States, is home to seven different islands. Each one is perfect for a destination wedding. But first, you’ve got to know the islands, which one you plan to visit,  and what makes them your choice for your destination wedding.  Oahu is a great choice to plan for a wedding on a budget.

Googling is a great idea! As a matter of fact, you’ve got to make Google your best friend during this initial stage.

 2. Draft a Budget for your Hawaii Wedding

Definitely don’t plan on on using all your lifesavings for your wedding in Hawaii. That’s why you’ve got to draw a budget. Consider the number of guests you want, the number of nights you’ll spend in hotels, and other necessary details. You should also consider how much you’re willing to spend on your honeymoon.  Choosing an all inclusive wedding package is helpful when making a budget

 3. Hire a Hawaii Wedding Planner

Taking care of all the necessary communication beforehand will save you from making no more than one trip to the islands, for your wedding!  Imagine how difficult it will be to travel a couple of times from your current location to Hawaii to plan your wedding.

Hiring a local, reputable Hawaii wedding planner will help with getting everything all sorted out. The wedding planner will foresee all the logistics and coordination for your wedding day so you basically all you need to do is show up on your wedding day.

 4. Choose a Location for your Hawaii Wedding Package

For a location not too far out, be sure to choose one of the Waikiki/Honolulu area beaches or parks such as Waialae Beach or Magic Island.  Or you may also consider one of the more rural beach areas of Oahu such as Waimanalo Bay for your wedding package when drawing up your  budget. Be sure to research just what you want and can afford when considering a Honolulu beach wedding or to use an Oahu beach such as Waimanalo Bay.  All wedding package prices differ from one another, depending on your needs.

To keep it stress free, also consider an Oahu wedding package that will provide the following: Hawaii wedding photographer or videographer, door to door limousine service , wedding music,  wedding officiant, and flower leis or flower bouquet. You should also be cognizant  of choosing an oceanfront restaurant for your reception party complete with catering services.
