Hawaii Beach Wedding

A Hawaii Beach Wedding Story

Sandy Beach Oahu

There are many options for a Hawaii Beach Wedding and several different islands to consider.  One never knows what to expect or how to prepare when planning for a Beach Wedding on the island of Oahu.   During the summer months Oahu picks up large swells generated from storms in the Southern Hemisphere.  What could possibly be better than a small intimate beach wedding in Hawaii, right? Well what about a beach wedding with beautiful weather and high surf dancing off the sands for creating some fun and gorgeous photos? One couple decided to choose Sandy Beach for their Oahu wedding and it turned out to be the perfect spot.

Adam & Megan’s Hawaii Beach Wedding

With a wedding date set for July, everything was absolutely wonderful; with blue seas, bright sands, and amazing family to celebrate with them, Adam and Megan were ready to celebrate one of the most important days of their lives! The sun’s rays illuminated the warmth and happiness radiating from the newly married couple.  In fact, not only was the sun perfect, but one of the most exciting elements of the wedding had to do with the big surf breaking offshore.

For Adam and Megan, their beach wedding in Hawaii just happened to fall on the same day as the arrival as the largest swell of the year! How exciting is that?!   For the most part the breaking waves never posed a big threat.  But they sure did make this couple just a little wet when a big set washed through.

Wedding Photo Shoot

There is no doubt that anyone could be happy with such an outcome for their perfect day, and we can confidently say Adam and Megan felt that way when they saw the results of their wedding. Choosing Sandy Beach for their Oahu wedding venue turned out to be the perfect spot. From Megan’s beautiful bouquet complete with red ribbon, to Adam’s awesome Hawaiian patterned shirt and straw hat, the details totally complimented the laid back and romantic feel of the simple Hawaii wedding ceremony. Megan even had lace detailing in the shape of shells on her dress!

Not only were the wedding photos breathtaking, but they’ll have an amazing story to highlight their already wonderful day. Whether they ride the waves or enjoy the sun, this couple is truly in for the journey of a lifetime.  And remember…be sure to consider sandals instead of shoes when going to Sandy Beach!

Oahu’s Favorite East Side Beach

Waimanalo Bay Beach is without a doubt one of the top Oahu beach wedding venues.  It should also be noted that back in 2015  it was voted the #1 beach in the USA.  This beach is the longest stretch of white sand beach on Oahu, at about 3 miles.  This beach is also a favorite choice for many couples desiring a totally natural beach setting for their Oahu beach wedding venue.  The beach is a totally wide open area with only a few homes nearby. It’s located at 41-1062 Kalanianaʻole Hwy, Waimanalo, HI 96795.  Also, it is part of the State Recreation Area where people come to camp on the weekends and holiday. Hands down Oahu beach location is an easy choice when planning a beach wedding in Hawaii.  Weekdays are always best because there are so few people at the beach.

Sherwoods Beach

Rarely visited by tourists, this beach is an uncrowded and uncommercialized tropical beach setting. The turquoise blue ocean, white sand, and majestic mountain range in the background is simply stunning.  Additionally,  there’s the wooded area known as Sherwoods.  It adds a nice contrast to the beach and ocean with it’s many Ironwood trees creating a forest.

For fantastic, stunning beach wedding photography, look no more.  Our Oahu wedding photographers are top notch professionals and will make your wedding photo session fun and memorable.  Capturing those joyful, fun, and romantic moments between you and the one you love is the goal.

Waimanalo Bay State Recreation Area is a 45 minute drive from Waikiki.  Located on the southeast countryside of Oahu, the drive is beautiful. You will pass Koko Head Crater, Hanauma Bay, Blow Hole, Sandy Beach, Makapuu Lookout, and Sea Life Park.   As soon as you make your way past Makapu’u the full view of the huge bay comes into view and that’s when you start to get really excited for what’s about to happen.

You’re about take off  on a lifetime together.  Choosing this beach venue is a great idea for one of the top beach wedding venues on Oahu.

Bridal Haku Lei Floral Crown

Having a wedding in Hawaii and choosing to wear a Bridal Haku Lei Floral Crown goes hand in hand. It will add some cultural tradition to wear a lei of this kind.  Every bride dreams of feeling special, like a princess on their wedding day in Hawaii. This headpiece style of lei is worn for special occasions such as graduation ceremonies,  or wedding ceremonies. The name refers to a style of lei-making where the flowers and green leaves are braided and face outward.

Most of these headpiece leis are made with white orchid flowers but also mix orchid colors too. They are easily fitted with a few pins and then tied in the back. This lei will definitely accentuate a bride’s beauty while feeling like royalty on the most important day of her life.  In addition to the lei, adding Hawaiian music by a ukulele player that sings is so romantic.  That’s why it would be a good idea to have a musician add live music at your wedding ceremony.  The ukulele is unique to Hawaii.  It is the regional instrument that makes the music of Hawaii so nice to hear during your wedding ceremony.  To learn more, visit us and learn more about ordering a Hake Lei for your Wedding in Hawaii.
